About this site
Whether the museums, gardens, shrines and ferries of Kagawa are open today and this week, based only on what their official pages say. We do not book or arrange anything for you.
For now this site covers Kagawa prefecture only — 281 places and 4 routes, including the islands of the Seto Inland Sea. Other prefectures will follow with the same machinery once the approach proves itself here; no date is fixed for any of them.
How this site is made
- Opening hours, closing days and fees are fetched daily from the official pages of each facility and transport operator, and from the prefecture, the municipalities and the tourism associations. We do not reproduce their descriptive text.
- Each day is shown as open, closed or unknown. When there is not enough to go on, or the sources disagree, we say unknown and send you to the official page rather than guess.
- Times and figures are taken from the wording of the official page by machine. Every verdict carries the quoted wording, the link to the source and the time it was fetched.
- If we have not been able to fetch a facility's official page for 14 days, we fall back to unknown even on a day the rules say it should be open.
